By linking public datasets with internal data assets, organizations can craft a rich knowledge base and develop new insights. While public datasets often exist in inaccessible formats or overwhelming volumes, Enigma Data controls all complexities from retrieval to standardization to delivery. Reporting directly to our Executive team, you will cultivate an engaging environment and a culture of excellence, providing technical and people leadership. Data Engineering is responsible for data packages and data products, curating true to source data that covers subjects ranging from oil production to healthcare. Our team ensures that Enigma’s public data corpus is not just delivered, but easily integrated with private data by developing ontologies, applying machine learning and data sciences to convert semi-structured data to queryable knowledge graphs. You will instill hands-on performance management, inspire continuous professional development, help set realistic and high-reaching goals, ensure sound planning for their execution, and take personal responsibility for their achievement. A technical background is required in order to be a good counsel and advocate for engineering, but this role is more about enabling others than committing production facing code on a regular basis. |

You have built an extraordinary software engineering organization through continuous improvement of best practices, and relish being a coach and leader, delivering consistent and thoughtful feedback.
Significant previous hands-on technical experience, ideally in areas relevant to data storage technology, infrastructure, and machine learning.
Knowledge of data sciences and machine learning pipelines utilizing Spark, TensorFlow and orchestration with Airflow is desired.
Passion for being an empathetic solutions oriented leader, with a desire for educating and successfully leading the acquisition deployment of our broad range of data assets that will produce solutions across the Fortune 500 clients that we engage with.
You have led hiring and resource planning for multiple teams, establishing hiring methodologies, interviewing metrics, & thoughtful mentorship to onboard employees successfully.
Strong communication and organizational skills are a requirement. You have partnered closely with other teams including engineering, product, commercial, data science, and other department stakeholders to align on strategy and ensure group synchronization.
