Security Technology Design and Consulting services from Design and project management to Construction Administration, Commissioning and Close-Out.

Located in the heart of Los Angeles, USC is one of the world’s leading private research universities, with over 18,000 undergraduate enrollment. USC Keck School of Medicine recently opened their Biosafey Level 3 Lab – a federal classification of a facility designed for the study of pathogenic and potentially lethal agents that can cause potentially severe or fatal illness due to exposure by inhalation.

Exante360 has been working with USC on tens of projects of all sizes for many years. For the BSL-3 lab project we provided security design and consulting services for the addition of two new electronic access control biometric card readers and a new Lenel head-end system to safeguard against unauthorized access to the facility and the possible escape of any biological materials from the lab.

Key Highlights

We delivered construction documents based on USC’s approved design criteria and standards for contractor bid. Additionally, we were contracted to advise and assist USC with the monitoring of the contractors to properly construct, install, and commission the systems in coordination with client representatives.
