Information and Communication Technology Design and Consulting services from initial Planning & Budgets to Construction Administration and Close-Out. This project included submittals to OSHPD.
LAC Department of Public Works (DPW) is responsible for project management services for the design and construction of the County Capital Projects Program. The Department manages about 150 active capital projects with a total construction value of over $2 billion. The ORCHID project represented large infrastructure upgrades (cabling, electronics, software, TER rooms, etc) at various LAC health properties to facilitate the use of electronic health records.
As part of LAC DPW ORCHID capital improvement project, Exante360 was contracted with seven architects to provide Wireless LAN Design & Consulting Services at six medical centers and associated clinics: Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, High Desert Clinics, LAC+USC Medical Center, Martin Luther King Jr. Medical Center, Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center, and Olive View Medical Center.
Exante360’s design team used heat maps spectrum analysis and performed 802.11ac site surveys to identify the ideal locations for 1,500+ Cisco 3,600 series wireless access points and gateways.
Exante360 was also involved with the remodel and addition of several TER closets to accommodate all the new active electronic equipment.
